Why I Sell Organic Products?

Taking a Path to a Healthier Lifestyle appears to be a step in the right direction for our children and ourselves and our Planet. There are so many chemicals in our products whether it be in our food or our clothing especially our baby clothes and blankets and such. Here in this article I will be posting information about Organic Baby Products I sell and Natural products.

(Source of this article is organic.org) Today’s parents are becoming more aware of how the daily exposure to synthetic chemicals can potentially impact their children’s health and development. Babies and young children are especially sensitive to these environmental influences because their bodies are still developing and maturing.

Whether or not you know what it means, you’ve most likely heard the buzz surrounding the term “organic”. It simply means that crops are grown “naturally” or without the use of harmful chemicals such as synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Organic cotton must be grown on toxic-free land for at least 3 years before being harvested. Organic farmers focus on the health of our soil, which is the foundation for healthy crops. They enhance soil fertility, support biodiversity and healthy ecosystems, which in turn protect our air, water, soil and wildlife.

Conventional cotton, which is one of the heaviest sprayed crops in the world, uses 25% of global pesticides, making it one of the most environmentally damaging crops on the planet. Did you know that it takes almost 1/3 of a pound of chemicals to grow enough cotton to make just one t-shirt? Not something you want to wrap your baby in.

Since organic cotton is grown free of any synthetic chemicals, it maintains all of its natural oils, making it the softest, strongest and most durable cotton in the world. Certification of organic cotton is very important because it guarantees that strict growing and manufacturing standards are upheld. It also ensures that employees receive Fair Trade working conditions, including fair wages, a good working environment, organic meals, health benefits and education. Fair Trade also prohibits child labor.

Making the healthy lifestyle change to “organic” only makes sense for our children, families and environment. Growing Up Organic is pleased to offer you a variety of certified organic products for your little one. Join us in supporting organic agriculture and the future of a healthy planet!
